Enclosure ATEX Certification
Design Custom Solutions

Our specialty is providing tailored or custom Explosion Protection enclosure & Panels solutions. So, if you need to populate your new or existing products for use in hazardous areas, our team will help determine the right enclosure configuration to meet your operational needs and achieve a fully IECEx or ATEX certified end solution.

Magnus application & certification team is here to support you with Explosion Protection enclosure solutions, from initial concept to final product. Our design team will guide you through each step to ensure you find the right standard product for your needs.

We will select products from our extensive range of enclosures and ancillary equipment and source other suitable 3rd party products to meet the full scope. Our skilled production team can pre-populate the enclosures with your donor parts and our sourced parts, ready for your final installation on site.

Each enclosure solution will be provided with a final certification document pack. Our Certification Engineer works with the customer through the following steps, to make sure the design is compliant with the Schedule of Limitations (SoL), ensuring successful project completion. The SoL defines the scope of what can be certified under populated enclosure or panel certificate and is broad enough to cover most applications.

How we Support you on your Ex-compliance journey

Step 1
Client provides documentation

The client provides Magnus with the following: Hazardous Area requirements, Bill of Materials, General Arrangement drawing, Electrical Schematic, Component datasheets, plus Hazardous Area certificates for any certified components used in enclosure.

Step 2
We reviews documentation

With the provided documentation, Magnus will review the design and identify any technical problems that may delay the certification process. We will issue a snag list with all issues that need resolution.

Step 3
Client resolves open issues

The client can now resolve any problems and provide additional or updated documentation, as required. If necessary, we can provide support to find the appropriate solutions.

Step 4
Client populates the enclosure

The client is responsible for completing the assembly of their equipment into the our enclosure in accordance with the documentation supplied, ensuring all snags are resolved before the next step.

Also, client can sub contract assembly to Magnus or approved contractor.

Step 5
We inspects the fully populated enclosure

Our representative performs an inspection to verify the equipment has been installed in accordance with the documentation and any Hazardous Area requirements. Depending on the application some tests may be required, for instance thermal, overpressure or leakage.

Step 6
We issues Certificate

Providing all open issues are resolved, and after customer approval, We will issue the IECEx or ATEX certificate and certification labels to be applied to the enclosure.
